Walk the Tok

Holding myself to my promise, I finally found someone to donate to on KIVA.

“Neang, 23 years old, resides in Siem Reap which is known as a province that full of ancient temples and tourism. He is a “Tok Tok” driver earning $8 per day. He lives with his parents and four siblings; one is studying and the other three are working earning $16 per day for all. Every month, he has to spend $83 on food, $15 on school fees, and $10 on other expenses. He would like to request a loan of $450 to buy a new “Tok Tok” for for himself to use to run a “Tok Tok” service. He also plans to rent a place to sell souvenirs near the temple.”

This guy is my age, going out on a limb to create and expand a business for himself, and what he’s asking for is what I easily spend within a month.  Much respect and inspiration.  Best of luck to you Neang!
